Fluid Mechanics can be further divided into Fluid statics and Fluid Dynamics. A matter can exist either in solid, liquid or gaseous state. The liquid and the gaseous state together is called fluid state. The solid state and the fluid state together exhibit different characteristics because of differences in the arrangements of molecular structures.
